Big and Bountiful Fish

If you’ve landed big fish before, get ready for a brand new experience.

Northwest Manitoba boasts some of the world's best oversized lake trout, scrappy arctic grayling and the always palate-pleasing walleye. Spend one day at a northern Canadian fishing lodge and it’s likely you’ll catch more walleye than you’ve caught in all your days on the water combined.

Manitoba’s record northern pike measures a whopping 60.5 inches. There are thousands more – probably tens of thousands more – just like that one. Fish this size have cruised the northern depths for 20, 30, maybe even 40 years - and they’ve learned a few tricks along the way!

The challenge awaits you...

For the next generation

Year after year, excellent fishing is guaranteed. How is this accomplished? In a word— conservation.

An enlightened catch-and-release policy, combined with the use of single barbless hooks, recognizes that some of the extremely old, slowgrowing species of fish are too precious a resource to be caught only once.
